About this site

Night Sky Notes is a small hobby project: a handful of pages that explain the basics of stargazing in plain language. It started as a set of personal notes and grew into something that might help other beginners.

Everything here is meant for observing with the naked eye or a pair of binoculars. The numbers are rounded to keep things readable; for precise data, astronomy software and official sources are the place to go.

Clear skies!
